In 2004, match design began as a virtual graphic design firm dedicated to sustainability. Co-founder Jane Lalonde saw early on the tremendous shared value of a Gig economy agency model where clients could plug into various services and teams without worrying about overhead costs and inefficiencies.
Instantly successful, clients liked the cost efficiency and impact of the on-demand model. As a result, she was hired to create brands for $2B venture firms, energy start-ups, life science ventures, educational institutions, and ecology visionaries.
In 2014, Jane hired her husband Louis to help broaden the focus to include a fractional cmo model after 80% of her clients asked her to stay on via a retainer to manage the brand after the launch in marketing.
Hence, match cmo was born and is as successful as the match design labs today. In 2020, Louis duplicated the plug-in leadership model and established a plug-in chief operating officer for several energy companies.
In Q3 2023, Jane added four new clients and Louis is serving as a plug-in CEO ins renewable energy.
